Bucky Barnes will reform a popular alliance to take down Victor Von Doom in the next chapter of Marvel Comics' Thunderbolts: Doomstrike. CBR can now share an exclusive preview of the One World Under Doom event title's second issue, which arrives on March 26.
The Thunderbolts: Doomstrike #2 preview opens with heart-pounding action as Bucky leads an assault against a Doom carrier train, with some familiar faces in tow, including an old, hellish ally. The publisher's description for the upcoming issue reads, "SPIRIT OF VENGEANCE! After a devastating defeat, Bucky decides to hit Doom where it hurts - and he's bringing in some old friends to do it. It's a modern-day HELLHUNTERS reunion as Bucky brings in Ghost Rider '44 for a daring train robbery! With Sharon Carter and U.S.Agent backing them up, it seems like nothing can go wrong. But it's not easy to get the jump on Doom." Collin Kelly and Jackson Lanzing pen Thunderbolts: Doomstrike, with art by Tommaso Bianchi. Leinil Francis Yu is the series' main cover artist.

Marvel also recently released solicitations for the two final issues of Thunderbolts: Doomstrike. Doctor Doom will assemble a new and classic iteration of the titular team in the fourth issue. As Bucky leads his incarnation of the Thunderbolts to bring down Doom, the conqueror responds by recruiting original members such as Moonstone, Atlas, and Fixer. In the fifth and final issue, after Bucky is captured, his Thunderbolts will face off against Doom’s to determine the fate of the revolution.
Thunderbolt: Doomstrike's Writers Discussed the Series
Thunderbolts: Doomstrike series writers Kelly and Lanzing teased what fans could expect from the One World Under Doom event title, which debuted its first issue this month. "The Thunderbolts are a crucial part of the puzzle," they stated. "This is the story of what happens when heroes openly oppose Doom... and how they'll have to learn to fight differently if they're ever to make a difference."
