One of the most devastating moments for the X-Men at the end of the Krakoan Age was when Charles Xavier decided that the only way he could get close enough to stop the Artificial Intelligence Dominion being known as Enigma, which was a threat to all existence, was to pretend to join forces with the villainous anti-mutant group, Orchis, against humanity, nominally in exchange for protection for the mutant nation of Krakoa (so long as mutants stuck to that island), but really to get close to Moira MacTaggert, so that he could convince Moira to help the Phoenix destroy Enigma, thus saving the universe. However, Xavier had to commit atrocities in order to sell Orchis that he was actually in league with them, and that included destroying a space shuttle that was carrying nuclear weapons intended to stop Orchis. At the end of the Fall of X, Xavier, having saved existence, surrendered to the authorities.
In the current "From the Ashes" X-Men revamp, Xavier is imprisoned in the jail that used to be the X-Men school. However, in X-Men: Xavier's Secret #1 (collecting the first six issues of the X-Men From the Ashes Infinity Comic), we learn that there might be more to the story, but in this CBR exclusive preview of X-Men: Xavier's Secret #1, we see how Cyclops and Jean Grey parted ways as "From the Ashes" began.
X-Men: Xavier's Secret #1 is from writer Alex Paknadel, artist Diógenes Neves, colorist Arthur Hesli, and letterer Clayton Cowles, and it helps fill in the blanks over what happened before Jean Grey headed off into outer space for the adventures she has been having in her Phoenix ongoing series (and before Cyclops's X-Men series began, as well), while also revesaling, well, you know, Xavier's big secret.

X-Men: Professor X to Return as Marvel's Biggest Threat
Marvel announces the first major X-Men crossover event in the "From the Ashes" era, as Professor X breaks out of prison in X-Manhunt
In the preview pages, a man is in Norway, and he appears to be in dire straits stuck out on the ice by himself. We then see that Scott Summers and Jean Grey, reunited after the events of Fall of X (where Jean was once more resurrected as the Phoenix), are in Norway, as well, to see the Northern Lights.
However, Cyclops and Jean Grey are obviously a bit out of sorts, as Jean is about to go on a mission into outer space, and Cyclops clearly isn't fully on board with her leaving Earth. At the same time, he is asking her not to read his thoughts, and he is perhaps a bit TOO into the idea of them having a "normal" vacation. Jean is quick to note that, as the Phoenix, she can just CREATE Northern Lights if that's what he wants, which just shows the sort of disconnect that threatens this longtime X-Men couple.
How this all ties in with Xavier's secret, though, will be revealed next week when X-Men: Xavier's Secret is released!
