Clover Press will soon launch a new Kickstarter for the next installment in its The Marvel Art Of… series, this time showcasing work by the legendary Mike Del Mundo. Today, The Beat can reveal the backer-exclusive, reversible dustjacket for the high-end hardcover coffee table book.
“Del Mundo is an Eisner nominated and influential figure in the world of comics, and his art is celebrated for its innovation—and rightly so!” said Clover publisher Hank Kanalz.
“Fittingly, we’ve cooked up something brand new for his campaign: for the first time ever, the campaign will also feature a separate sketchbook, a 5×7.5″ softcover that features Del Mundo’s sketches for the pieces that are in the actual book. You can read along and match up the sketch to the final art. It’s amazing to see the thought Mike puts behind every piece, and there’s always something new to find, when I look at any particular page,” Kanalz added.

The Marvel Art of Mike Del Mundo joins the Clover Press series of artbooks featuring well-known images alongside rare and even never-before-seen works by some of the most beloved names in comics. This 224-page, 9×12″ hardcover includes Del Mundo’s art from X-Men, Avengers, Deadpool, Elektra, Thor, Spider-Man, and more. Kickstarter backers can also claim posters, prints, original sketches, stickers, signed books, and even a puzzle.
