Family of Killed Cinematographer Label Alec Baldwin’s New Reality Show “Shameless”

The family of Halyna Hutchins, a cinematographer who tragically passed away, has taken issue with Alec Baldwin’s new reality show called “The Baldwins.” They are angry with the actor’s response to the tragedy, and that he never even apologized to them, and have taken legal steps to get him to talk about the tragedy that happened on the set of “Rust,”  filing a notice of deposition Monday demanding the actor “face the real-life consequences that he caused” and “face reality under oath.”

He and his wife, Hilaria, have started this TV show about their life with their seven kids, which includes dealing with the sad event from 2021 when Alec had a firearm on the set that went off while he was weilding it and ended up killing Hutchins. The show tries to show them as a typical American family going through tough times because of what happened on the movie set.

However, the lawyer for Hutchins’s family, Gloria Allred, says this is “shameless,” adding that while Alec gets to enjoy time with his children on TV, Hutchins’s family lives every day with the pain of losing her. They have not heard from him saying sorry or showing that he understands their situation,“that is the painful and actual reality with which Halyna’s parents and sister live each and every day,” says Allred.

In the show, Hilaria talked about how Alec felt really bad after the accident and was diagnosed with PTSD, saying that he also thought about suicide. The lawyer for Hutchins’s family has a different take, speculating that Alec could be just trying to get people to feel sorry for him and see him as the victim in the situation.

The show started airing on February 23rd, and Alec might still have to go to court and answer questions under oath on May 9th because of this. The family’s lawyer wants him to tell the truth about what happened that day when the gun went off, and have filed a lawsuit to compell him to do so.

In the original incident, Alec was pointing a gun at Hutchins as part of a scene for “Rust” when he claims it went off accidentally and she was killed. Alec has said that he didn’t pull the trigger and that it was an accident.
