As the DCU continues to grow, speculation that Nightwing will make his highly-anticipated appearance has become louder. A former DCEU star subtly, possibly hinted that he may be eyeing the role for himself.

Shazam! star Asher Angel shared a post on X (formerly Twitter) captioned simply with "gn." The actor, who previously made his superhero movie debut as Billy Batson, posted a picture of himself wearing a long-sleeve shirt with the Nightwing logo on it. Whether it was subliminal messaging or not, Asher's choice of attire has contributed to his pre-established fancasting for the role of Dick Grayson.

Hints that Nightwing could be seen soon-ish have been stirred up again after posters for The Flying Graysons were seen being used as props on the Clayface set. However, it remains firmly unconfirmed that Nightwing will finally be folded into the DCU, and there has been no official casting of the character yet.
