On the run from the law, Hercules finds himself face to face with The Eternals…

…Who think he is Gilgamesh.
As it turns out, thought, they’re right. Maybe. While they punch each other a bit, Ikaris tells him that he is actually an Eternal–a God–and has had his memory wiped. In the end, though, it appears that the Eternals were wrong…

…But Hercules is left wondering if they were right.
Greg Pak has used this series to play with the Greek myths of Hercules, and this is a wonderful excursion into that area of (non-Marvel) canon that seems to marry it all up while still leaving ambiguity.
Excellent. This is how you make a done-in-one that matters while trying to space out one more issue before a big (Secret Invasion) tie-in.
