Tank Girl, the British comic book character created in 1988 by Alan C. Martin and Jamie Hewlett, has remained a popular and beloved figure in the indie comics scene ever since her debut nearly forty years ago. One of Hewlett’s early works, alongside titles such as Get The Phoos!, the character has become a pop culture icon. Titan Comics are proud to announce the biggest collection of outback antics featuring the ever-popular, ever-rebel-without-a-cause, ever-tank-loving Tank Girl yet.

Tank Girl: The Motherload is a slipcase set containing three spectacular omnibuses from creators Alan Martin and a host of legendary comics artists, a true must-have for fans of the character. There’s hijinks and capers galore, with art from industry legends such as Jim Mahfood and Mike McMahon and classic characters including Booga, Jet-Girl, Sub-Girl and the rest of the gang. The slipcase set also includes four exclusive art cards, with all three omnibus volumes including new cover art exclusive to this slipcase set.

Art by various artists.

The first omnibus, Total Tank Girl, collects three madcap adventures. The first , Everybody Loves Tank Girl, shows everyone’s favourite outback anarchist, back to blow things up, swear profousely and cause mayhem in the process. Alan C. Martin teams up with wunderkind Jim Mahfood to bring you TG as you’ve never seen her before. Prepare to meet The Wee-Wee Brothers, travel south to a Hippie Fest with the gang, take a tour around Booga’s factory, and let TG show you How To Dress Quite Good.

The second story, Solid State Tank Girl, sees our beloved hero face against her worst nemesis, Anti-Tank Girl, who is out to replace Tank Girl once and for all. TG and her gang of misfits will have to draw on all the power at their disposal to defeat the disgusting doppelganger before it’s too late. Meanwhile, the third story is Tank Girl: Bad Wind Rising. What brings together a holiday, a hold-up, a murder and a car chase? How about a very large vodka bottle, a fistfight, an earthquake and a mutant surfer? Where does a tiny moped fit into this? Or a gang of killer kangaroos after TG’s scalp? Read this twisted action adventure to find out just how it all fits together.

The second omnibus, Dirty Old Tank Girl, sees TG in a double whammy of wonderfully wild and whacked out adventures. The first story, Carioca, is written by Tank Girl co-creator Alan Martin with artwork by the legendary Mike McMahon. After our heroine is rudely snubbed on a TV game show, she plots the death of the vulgar host in question,  unwittingly releasing the vengeance of his embittered wife and a gang of highly trained assassins as a result. The second story, Skidmarks, is written by Martin and drawn by Rufus Dayglo. Read as TG sets off on an illegal cross-continental race in a bid to win enough money for an incredibly expensive operation to bring her best friend Barney out of a skateboard-accident induced coma.

The final omnibus, The Power of Tank Girl, collects three more epic stories. TG’ss back with a bang and one hell of a  spine as Alan C. Martin returns for the first time after the controversial Tank Girl movie. With art chores handled by artist and painter Ashley Wood, this third omnibus closes the slipcase set on an epic and exciting note.

Tank Girl: The Motherload launches into stores on May 12th, 2026 and is available now for pre-order from Amazon, Barnes & Noble, and Forbidden Planet for the UK & Europe, as well as any and all local comic shops.
