Marvel and Toho have been doing a number of fascinating projects in the last year or so, with a series of one-shots featuring Godzilla facing off against classic Marvel superheroes leading to the current Godzilla Destroys the Marvel Universe miniseries. Now, the series is coming to a long-awaited conclusion, and CBR has an exclusive preview of the final issue of the series!
Godzilla Destroys the Marvel Universe #5 is from writer Gerry Duggan and artist Javier Garrón, and it features the Marvel superheroes fighting against Godzilla using a special Marvel Mecha, with the various superheroes all controlling different parts of the giant robot warrior.

In the preview pages, we open with a flashback to Iron Man helping to contain some of the damage that Godzilla had done in New York City after attacking the Baxter Building. Iron Man is contacted by Black Panther, who informs him that he better head to Wakanda to help T'Challa finish his Marvel Mecha if he wants to be part of this historic moment.
We cut to the present day, where Iron Man and War Machine are serving as distractions to help keep Godzilla off of the guantlet of the giant Marvel Mecha.
Both Spider-Men, Miles Morales and Peter Parker, are then ordered by Black Panther to deploy the webs that are in their sections of the Marvel Mecha, which they do (with Peter joking about them doing whatever Black Panther tells them to do).
We then see that the two Spider-Men are actually controlling the webs from inside their parts of the Mecha, and, while they temporarily have Godzilla restrained, it is taking all of their strength to contain the monster, and they don't know how much longer they can hold on. Peter wants to put a Spider Tracker on Godzilla, but it is unlikely that anyone will be losing track of a monster that big.
