Fans are getting even more of Jessica Jones once the calendar flips over to 2026. Daredevil: Born Again brought Krysten Ritter back as the street-level private investigator, reuniting two heroes from Marvel's DefendersVerse. Jessica Jones is already confirmed for Daredevil: Born Again Season 2, and now she'll headline an even darker series in time for her 25th anniversary.

Marvel announced Jessica Jones will star in Alias: Red Band, a five-issue series by writer Sam Humphries (New Avengers) and artist Geraldo Borges (Thunderbolts). The miniseries celebrates the 25th anniversary of Alias, the gritty title created by Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Gaydos that introduced readers to Jessica Jones.

Artist David Mack is also returning to provide his mural-like painted covers for Alias: Red Band, just as he did for the original series. And while Alias: Red Band was published under Marvel's adult-focused MAX imprint, this new comic is being released as a Red Band title and polybagged for mature content.

Marvel Has Big Plans for Jessica Jones in 2026

Marvel is looking to capitalize on Jessica Jones' popularity on both the small screen and in the comics. With her appearance in the second season of Daredevil: Born Again confirmed, fans move closer and closer to seeing all the original Netflix characters back on the screen together. All that's missing are Iron Fist and Luke Cage.

This makes it the perfect time to launch a new Alias series for Jessica Jones' 25th anniversary. For even more synergy, Jessica Jones is forced to team up with Typhoid Mary, one of the villains from Daredevil's rogues gallery. Marvel also teases that Alias: Red Band will position Jessica and her husband, Luke Cage, for big developments in 2026.

"No one does it like Jessica Jones. She's sharp, bitterly funny, and tenacious as hell. Brian Michael Bendis and Michael Gaydos snapped when they created her, a totally singular character with a unique POV on the superhero game," Humphries told Polyon. "I'm excited to push the limits of the kind of cases Jessica Jones can investigate, and how far she'll go to solve them."

Daredevil: Born Again Season 2 has a release window of March 2026, which coincides with the debut of Alias: Red Band. Spring 2026 is looking up for fans of Marvel's hard-drinking, foul-mouthed P.I.
