Manga Preview: SAINT SEIYA DARK WING, Volume 1 from Titan Manga soars into English for the first time this September

Saint Seiya: Dark Wing Vol. 1, created by Masami Kurumada, written by Kenji Saito, and illustrated by Shinshu Ueda, is officially set to release in English for the first time through Titan Manga on September 16, 2025.

A dramatic spin-off of the iconic Saint Seiya manga series, Dark Wing follows Shōichirō, an ordinary high school student who wakes up in the land of the dead—only to learn he’s been chosen as one of Hades’s 108 Specters. Not just any Specter, but Wyvern, one of the three dreaded Judges of the Underworld. As Shōichirō grapples with his fate, he discovers that many of his classmates and teachers have also been pulled into this divine conflict, each chosen to fight for either the army of Hades or the goddess Athena.

Originally serialized in Champion Red, Akita Shoten’s monthly manga magazine, Dark Wing was first published in collected volume form in June 2021. Titan Manga’s upcoming edition marks the first official English-language release of the series.
