Patrik Walker is an Emmy Award–winning writer who covers all things Comics & Superheroes. His work can also be found at the Dallas Cowboys, The Sporting News, and CBS Sports, among other outlets. One of the most respected names in his field, he is also a diehard enthusiast of all things comics, anime, gaming and movies — thriving in spaces where discussions involving those or similar topics reign supreme.
Plenty of fun is on the way for fans of the Spider-Man and Invincible franchises. After all, as the calendar prepares to flip to 2026, there's so much to be excited about regarding both, seeing as there are events on the horizon for both franchises that should, and could, make next year the best one ever as Marvel and Skybound Comics ratchet up things for their respective superheroes.
What some newcomers may not know, however, is that while the world awaits the return of Tom Holland for Spider-Man: Brand New Day — an MCU project steeped in speculation at the moment — in July 2026, and Invincible fans await Season 4 of the legendary Prime Video series in March 2026, is that the two polar-opposite heroes recently shared space in a crossover event that, due to its success and high demand, will now get a reprint as Marvel Team-Up #14 not only sees the return of Todd McFarlane, but another incomparable talent in Mark Bagley.

Like McFarlane, Bagley needs no introduction, but here's one anyway: one of the most acclaimed names in the annals of comic book history, known for his exceptional worth on projects that include, but are not limited to, The Amazing Spider-Man, Thunderbolts, The New Warriors, Venom, The All-New X-Men, The Mighty Avengers and Ultimate Spider-Man for Marvel, and Batman (2009), Justice League of America, Superboy (2000), and Justice Society of America for DC Comics.
"One of the most demanded comics of the modern era is available again as superstars Robert Kirkman and Cory Walker present probably the best superhero team-up in the universe! With a star-studded variant cover artist lineup including Spider-Man legends Todd McFarlane, Erik Larsen, Ryan Ottley, Mark Bagley, and Alex Saviuk, this is the comic that no superhero fan can miss!"
Spider-Man, Invincible Have It In the Bag[ley]
The reprints are objectively gorgeous, and arrive in what could easily be viewed as the "Month of Invincible", given the fact March 2026 is also when the aforementioned fourth season of Robert Kirkman's Prime Video series will arrive, and with no shortage of anticipation after fans discovered who the latest supervillain threat will be. And then there's the ultra-bloody fighting game, Invincible VS., also scheduled to hit consoles next year, making for what should be a spectacular next round of greatness for Invincible, Omni-Man and Atom Eve.
As for Peter Parker, there's a much larger plate on the way to his table. Holland's fourth standalone Spider-Man film will not only serve as a critical tentpole for Phase 6 leading into Avengers: Doomsday, but it also begins the second trilogy for his reprisal of the Webcrawler. Also no stranger to video games, the Spider-Man series (as well as Miles Morales), is the stuff of legend for gamers. All of this being the case, it only makes sense for Skybound Comics and Marvel to remind fans of just how fun it was to once see both superheroes, with wildly different approaches to justice, grace the same panels together.
