Marvel Comics' Shadows of Tomorrow is about to drop two of the X-Men's strongest siblings into the middle of their very own series.

As noted in Marvel Comics' February solicits, Illyana and Piotr Rasputin are about to take center stage in their very own limited series — Magik & Colossus. Written by Ashley Allen and illustrated by Germán Peralta, Magik & Colossus will bring the eponymous duo together for an epic adventure set within the midst of 2026's hotly anticipated Shadows of Tomorrow event. Readers can check out the main cover art for Magik & Colossus #1 by the critically acclaimed David Nakayama down below.

The official solicit synopsis for Magik & Colossus #1 from Marvel Comics reads, "Illyana Rasputin is a cynical sorceress with power harnessed from the dark realm of Limbo. Piotr Rasputin is made of metal, but with a heart much softer than his exterior. But despite being family, blood does not run thicker than water!"

"When they return to their mother country, they discover ancient monsters from Russian folklore preying on the innocent! Can these two mutant siblings set aside their differences to save their country? The talented creative team of MAGIK, Ashley Allen and Germán Peralta, reunite for an X-Men story full of epic fights, mysticism and family drama!"

The upcoming Shadows of Tomorrow event will take place in the aftermath of the currently ongoing Age of Revelation. Or rather, the Shadows of Tomorrow will take place about ten years before those of the Age of Revelation, though the latter will still greatly inform the former. This is because, rather than being set within a separate universe or alternate timeline, the Age of Revelation is very much intended to serve as the future for the primary Marvel Universe based on its current trajectory.

Among the biggest changes set to come in the wake of the Age of Revelation is the emergence of a brand-new school for the next generation of mutant heroes. Known as Graymatter Lane, this new school will be introduced in the pages of X-Men United by writer Eve L. Ewing and artist Tiago Palma. Ewing previously opened up about what fans can expect from the series, explaining, "The idea for Graymatter Lane was a collective one, from lots of writers in a room brainstorming, and it's so cool because the psychic space allows for things to be weirder and more surreal, while still building on the classic Xavier's School energy we've all loved for decades."

Magik & Colossus #1 goes on sale Feb. 4, 2026 from Marvel Comics.
