“Eyes Of The Gorgon”
The noose tightened around Sonja’s neck as the Zingaran villagers cheered on from the market square. Why did they continue to call her monster? Why the term Gorgon? Red Sonja was not even supposed to be here today. This was nothing but a misunderstanding.
Then a scream rang out from one of the elderly women as the horse underneath Sonja darted forward. Was this her end? Hanged by a mob of the insane? The scream didn’t even favor her life. The old woman had brought news of another. Something was turning the denizens into stone.
Will Red Sonja survive her own execution? What is killing the villagers one by one? How many more will perish before the mystery is solved? Collect the series to find out!
Review
Now this is Marvel Comics! Writer Bruce Jones and artist Frank Thorne helped rocket Red Sonja into superstardom with their work on the Marvel Feature books. Thorne is a legend in his own right. Not as many people remember Bruce Jones, unfortunately. When it comes to Robert E Howard and Marvel, Roy Thomas seems to get most of the glory nowadays.
If you’re a fan of Red Sonja, then you will want the Marvel Feature books. This is Red Sonja in my mind. Check this one out! I give this comic book four out of five stars.
