Luna Snow, Marvel's K-Pop superstar and beloved Marvel Rivals hero, is setting out on her own comic book adventure this January. Marvel Comics has unveiled new information about a special one-shot story that sees her dealing with the aftermath of a surprising team-up with Doctor Doom.
Per Marvel's official press release, Luna Snow: World Tour #1 will be written by Greg Park (Agents of Atlas) with art by Ario Anindito (Star Wars: The High Republic) and Takeshi Miyazawa (She-Hulk). It will continue Luna's previous comic book adventures spinning out of One World Under Doom, which saw her aligning herself with the evil Marvel overlord as part of Doom's Division. Now, she'll face the consequences of her actions, all while dealing with the rise of a rival K-Pop superhero named Vibe.
Luna Snow: World Tour #1
- LUNA SNOW ON AN ALL-NEW ADVENTURE!
- As the world recovers from Doctor Doom’s takeover, K-pop star and ice-wielding superhero Luna Snow hits her lowest low yet. So she takes her music into her own hands – and hits the road! But when a new K-pop star appears on the scene with music that’s so catchy it’s criminal, Luna has to shift into hero mode to defend the very fans who can’t stand her. Can she win their hearts and save the day? And which beloved Marvel heroes will join her along the way?
"With the world against her, her record label — guided by a villainous exec — kicks her to the curb and introduces the Marvel Universe's hottest new K-Pop superhero," Marvel's description of the series reads. "Taking her anger out in her music and against her enemies, Luna must solve the mystery of Vibe's strange influence before she steals her spotlight forever!"
In addition to the cover art for Luna Snow: World Tour #1 by Ario Anindito, Marvel also unveiled the original design sheet for Vibe that gives fans a sneak peek at what Luna's newest rival will look like. An exact release date for the one-shot hasn't been announced, but it is available for pre-order now, ahead of its release sometime in January. Marvel also shared that Luna Snow: World Tour #1 will celebrate the character's unique role in the Marvel mythos, all while being a perfect jumping-on point for new fans who may have discovered the character through other means — like playing the popular team-based PVP shooter, Marvel Rivals.
Luna Snow's New Comic Adventure Introduces a Rival K-Pop Star
Speaking in Marvel's press release about the upcoming Luna Snow story, Greg Pak talked about the character's comic book origins and how the new adventure will give her some refreshing depth. "Luna Snow's been a blast to write ever since she debuted in comics in the War of the Realms: Agents of Atlas book," Pak said, "but this new story is something special - we get to focus on her as the hero and dig deep into what it means to be a pop star and a superhero at a time when fascists and exploiters have very specific uses for pop stars and superheroes."
Pak went on to tease Vibe as Luna's new nemesis, as well as some cameo appearances from other Marvel Comics superstars. "We've got a fantastic new K-pop villain named Vibe, who you'll love to hate, a couple big surprise classic Marvel guest stars, and absolutely top tier art from Ario Anindito and Tak Miyazawa. The art pops, the book rocks, and you do not wanna miss it!"
Luna Snow: World Tour #1 is available for pre-order now at local comic shops.
