The big bad for the next big crossover title from Marvel and DC Comics has been revealed, and neither Batman nor Deadpool will be ready for her.

Per Bleeding Cool, interior pages from the upcoming Batman/Deadpool #1 crossover comic have made their way onto the internet, revealing the main story's big bad along the way. As it turns out, fans can look forward to seeing both The Dark Knight and Merc With a Mouth tormented by none other than the twisted Cassandra Nova. Among these leaked images are panels which showcase Cassandra Nova quite literally reaching into and through the faces and minds of the issue's eponymous duo. Readers can check out a variant cover for Batman/Deadpool #1 by artist Ryan Sook which features a presumably brainwashed Dark Knight down below.

Batman/Deadpool #1 follows up on the recently released Deadpool/Batman #1 crossover comic, which made its way into comic book stores everywhere back in September. The issue not only offered readers a story featuring its eponymous unlikely duo, but numerous back-up stories featuring team-ups between some of the biggest names both the DC and Marvel Universes have to offer. Deadpool/Batman #1 even took readers for a trip back through the Amalgam Universe to meet Logo, a mash-up of DC's Lobo and Marvel's Wolverine.

What's Next To Come From Marvel and DC?

Following the announcement of the two crossover titles back in May, DC Comics President and Chief Creative Officer Jim Lee discussed the latest collaboration between DC and Marvel, explaining, "It happens kind of once every generation of readers." Lee added, "The timing has to be right in that you don't want to do these too often. You want them to feel special... So you want the story, creatively, to warrant the hype of it all."

Batman/Deadpool #1 goes on sale in January from DC and Marvel Comics.
