The Mighty Avengers event tie-ins are all done-in-ones with tribute covers. Issue #14 focuses on Sentry, who apparently took down some skrull invaders three years before the Secret Invasion event, just as the skrulls were on their way to take out the Fantastic Four. There’s also narrative that takes place a few months before the event showing all the stuff Jarvis skrull was up to.
Although there are scenes that take place during the main Secret Invasion event, most of these issues are flashbacks.
In issue #15, we see the skrull activity during the classic “Hank is a complete dick who beats his wife” story from Avengers #213.
Issue #16 goes back to the Raft break out and Elektra skrull’s role there. The cover to #16 is a bit harder to place than the other tributes–it goes all the way back to Daredevil #168, which featured the first appearance of Elektra.
All of this is detailed retconning. If that’s your thing, you’ll dig it. I enjoyed it, but it doesn’t have any lasting resonance.
