Mighty Morphin Power Rangers fans just got another update on the future of the franchise, and it couldn't be better.
Per Bleeding Cool, the upcoming Comics Giveaway Day 2026 edition of Power Rangers #0 from BOOM! Studios will feature multiple stories showcasing three separate versions of the Power Rangers' universe. While fans were already aware that the issue would feature a different version of the team than they are used to seeing, now it looks like it will have three entirely different iterations of the Rangers for readers to follow along with.

Boom! Studios Is Re-Introducing The Power Rangers

Studios have been a major boon for fans, as the publisher's decade-long run with the franchise has been one of the most critically-acclaimed of all time. When BOOM! Studios' Mighty Morphin Power Rangers began in 2016, it seems to be just another attempt at rebooting the beloved franchise for another generation of fans.
Aside from offering readers a new starting point for the Power Rangers' story, BOOM! Studios introduced new concepts and characters, such as Lord Drakkon, which have since become an indelible part of the wider Power Rangers mythos. BOOM! Studios even helped refine and redefine more esoteric aspects of the franchise, such as the Morphin Masters, helping to cement aspects of the original series that have never quite managed to properly establish themselves, even after more than 30 years.
Comics Giveaway Day 2026: Power Rangers #0 from BOOM! Studios is currently slated to arrive in participating comic book stores on May 2.
