Black Spectre framed Moon Knight for murder. Tony Stark took over Steven Grant’s mansion and made Marc Spector a wanted man. Now, he’s on the run. Iron Man is struggling to track him down because he’s wearing black now.
Through interviews between SHIELD and Crawley, Marlene, and Frenchie, we see that even his friends believe he’s completely cracked and are not supporting him anymore. He’s lost all his identities and his stuff, and he’s just walking around beating people up.

I know, I know. Now there’s even LESS of a difference between Moon Knight and Punisher. But it’s well written and the pacing is quick.

Because Iron Man can’t catch him, Harry Osborn sends in the Thunderbolts.
They don’t do a great job. Moon Knight is able to escape but is seriously wounded, crawling away to a secret hideout.

Khonshu appears and they argue a bit until the “god” (is he real?) gets him to re-dress as Moon Knight.

While this is happening, Moon Knight’s friends are getting attacked by a gang called the Whyhos led by a dude who wears a green suit.

Moon Knight intervenes, which is just what the Thunderbolts needed to find him again.

Yet Moon Knight is able to escape AGAIN after SHIELD shows up and argues with Osborn’s team about who has jurisdiction to take down Moon Knight.

Realizing that big battles aren’t going in his favor, Osborn sends in a single assassin: Bullseye.

On the cover, it looks like Bullseye has shot a picture of Moon Knight twice in the dick.

Bullseye tracks Moon Knight to his base.

Moon Knight, to escape, blows the whole thing up.
Moon Knight is believed dead in the end (hence the title of the story), and Stark and Osborn have dueling press conferences taking responsibility.

At the very end, Marlene and Frenchie mourn the loss of Marc Spector, and we see Moon Knight, dressed in his Jack Lockley guise, still alive.
