Moon Knight is pretending to be dead in order to avoid government oversight, and runs to Mexico, where he lives in his Jake Lockley identity and drinks heavily. And when he drinks, he talks to the moon God Khonshu.

Who, it turns out, is a racist.

Jake earns his income in underground fight clubs. One of the patrons is rich and admires his combat prowess, so he hired Jake to rescue his daughter from a cartel.

Coincidence of coincidences, Punisher is hunting Moon Knight’s client who (of course) is also a bad guy.

The two fight until they don’t, then they team up against the crime bosses.
This is a fairly straightforward team up, other than the fact that two New York vigilantes had to go all the way to Mexico to team up. It’s a bit too convenient, narratively, and nothing here is much different from dozens of preceding Punisher stories.
When they’re done, he goes back to drinking until he sees the Dark Avengers on TV. For reasons that aren’t entirely clear, he flushes the talking moon-God booze down the toilet and decides to return to America.

A book that started with a haunted schizophrenic literally being killed by his own demons ends with him simply flushing his demons down the toilet. Christ. This all started so good. What the hell happened?
