These issues chronicle Ms. Marvel’s participation in the big battle in Manhattan. She’s kicking and killing skrull ass until they realize that she cares about humans so they shape-shift to look like children, hoping it will give them an advantage. It does, but Carol quickly figures out that she can send out a photon blast that will knock out humans–but not super skrulls–and therefore she’s able to flush out the bad guys once again.
She spends most of these issues trying to get humans to safety during the battle, and then in the end helping Tiger Shark fend off a skrull attack.
Solid, action heavy story.
There’s a subplot involving Hydra working with the skrulls, but it’s not very well-developed and doesn’t matter.
