New "Supergirl" (2026) Featurette Offers Behind-the-Scenes Look at Production
Posted on April 03, 2026 by Neil Cole
Warner Bros. Pictures and DC Studios today released an exclusive behind-the-scenes featurette for "Supergirl" (2026), offering fans an early look at the making of the next blockbuster in the DC Universe (DCU). The featurette highlights never-before-seen footage from the production, candid interviews with the cast and creative team, and fresh glimpses at all the action on the set.
The video showcases star Milly Alcock as Kara Zor-El / Supergirl and includes commentary from director Craig Gillespie, co-CEO of DC Studios James Gunn, and fellow cast members, including Jason Momoa. Footage reveals Alcock tackling physically demanding scenes, insights into character development, and interaction with the film's ensemble as they bring this ambitious cosmic story to life.
Set to premiere in theaters on June 26, 2026, "Supergirl" (2026) follows Kara Zor-El's interstellar journey inspired by the acclaimed "Supergirl: Woman of Tomorrow" comic series. The featurette adds depth to the narrative by revealing how the character's emotional arc and relationships - especially her dynamic with fellow warrior-antihero Lobo - shape the film's tone and stakes.
In addition to Alcock and Momoa, the film stars Matthias Schoenaerts, Eve Ridley, David Krumholtz, and Emily Beecham, under the direction of Gillespie. The creative team brings together visionary filmmaking and immersive world-building that expands the DCU's cinematic footprint following last year's "Superman". "Supergirl" (2026) promises a blend of emotional depth, high-octane action, and rich character development.
