Nova tries to evacuate a planet that Galactus is preparing to consume. Nova and Silver Surfer have some conflict about that, as Nova tries to delay the destruction until he can get the people off the planet. But a parasitic entity named Harrow is also on the planet, devouring the residents and reveling in the chaos of the evacuation. The being eventually tries to attack Galactus himself, shielded from sight by a “cone of pestilence.” After Nova exposes the creature’s existence, Galactus kills him.
He doesn’t kill Nova, even though Nova was slowing the big G’s dinner plans, presumably because Nova helped expose Harrow.
