One of the deadliest foes Wolverine has ever known is about to become a part of the Ultimate Universe just as it approaches its Endgame.

With the release of Marvel Comics' February solicits, Ultimate Wolverine #14 will mark the debut of the Ultimate Universe's very own version of one of Logan's worst enemies — Lady Deathstrike. Written by Chris Condon and illustrated by Alessandro Cappuccio, Ultimate Wolverine #14 will also set the stage for what will ultimately be the Ultimate Wolverine's final fight just two months later. Readers can check out Cappuccio's main cover art and a variant of Ultimate Wolverine #14 by Netho Diaz in the image gallery down below.

The official solicit synopsis for Ultimate Wolverine #14 from Marvel Comics reads, "The search for the missing mutants takes a terrifying turn when Wolverine and Jean Grey discover that the captives may be trapped in Magik’s Limbo realm! Their mission to find Illyana leads them straight into a brutal battle with the Eurasian Republic’s forces, including the devastating, all-new Ultimate Lady Deathstrike!"

Yuriko Oyama, better known as Lady Deathstrike, has been a part of the wider Marvel Comics mythos since she made her debut in the pages of 1983's Daredevil #197 by Denny O'Neil, Klaus Janson, Larry Hama, and William Johnson. The daughter of the cruel, abusive, and villainous Kenji Oyama, aka Lord Dark Wind, Yuriko's early years were fraught with hardships that eventually drove her to become the superhuman cyborg assassin known as Lady Deathstrike.

While fans are undoubtedly excited to hear that Lady Deathstrike will be making her way to the current iteration of the Ultimate Universe soon, her introduction will take place just two months ahead of the end of the entire Ultimate line as it stands today. Back in October, during New York Comic Con, it was confirmed that the fourteenth and final issue of Ultimate Wolverine will arrive in stores in April, the same month that The Ultimates #24 arrives to close out the overarching story of the Ultimate Universe as a whole.

Head of Marvel Comics and Franchise Dan Buckley said of the news at the time of the announcement, "You'll be able to take this journey—the beginning, middle, and end—and digest it for years to come and pass it on to others."

The Ultimates writer and Ultimate Universe co-architect Deniz Camp also discussed the end of the Ultimate line, stating, "It's hard to talk about it without getting emotional. It really is the culmination of everything [writer] Jonathan [Hickman] began." Camp added, "Everything from my book and everyone else's book are all converging. It's gonna be definitive, it's going to be big. It's going to be emotional, there's going to be death... It's just wild."

Ultimate Wolverine #14 goes on sale Feb. 4, 2026 from Marvel Comics.
