Things could not be more secretive surrounding the plans for the MCU, with little being known regarding which superheroes and supervillains could make an appearance in Marvel’s upcoming blockbusters, Avengers: Doomsday and Avengers: Secret Wars. Something that might be clear, however, is the fate of Moon Knight in those plans.
That is to say that, according to Oscar Isaac, the actor that brought Marc Spector to life and on-screen for Marvel, is to be believed. When asked directly by a fan if Moon Knight would make an appearance in Avengers: Secret Wars, his answer was mostly as definitive as Andrew Garfield’s regarding Avengers: Doomsday — though less crass and without adding profanity for emphasis.
Initially, Isaac was playful in his response before shutting it down completely with the universal hand-to-neck gesture that is understood simply as “cut it out”, before gracefully exiting the moment during a red carpet event for his upcoming film Frankenstein.
“It’s a secret, no?" he said, with a smile and playful wordplay, before a hard pivot. “But no.”
At this point in the MCU timeline, and given how the Russo Brothers and Marvel play their cards, it’s nearly impossible to believe anyone who claims their character won’t make a cameo of some sort in a multiversal blockbuster, but Isaac might be telling the truth — something Garfield didn’t when he claimed his version of Spider-Man (The Amazing one) was absolutely not in Tom Holland’s Spider-Man: No Way Home.
So, What Is the Plan for Moon Knight?

That is a great question that few know the answer to. When Moon Knight debuted on Disney+, it gained a cult following that built upon the one that already existed for those who have long followed the character in the comic book realm. The show did not disappoint in the least, achieving quite the opposite, actually, with fans loudly clamoring for more and wondering if they’d get a second season of Marc Spector to enjoy after also getting a dose of Moon Knight in What If...? as the herald of Galactus, also merging with the Venom symbiote.
Marvel gave the green light for Season 2 of the TV series on Disney+, to everyone’s excitement, only for Isaac to then tell fans it wouldn't happen after all, but that they might instead see Moon Knight “in the movie”. But which movie, though? His own MCU film, or one of the Avengers movies? Or both??
Echo: things could not be more secretive surrounding the plans for the MCU.
Moon Knight and What If ... ? are both streaming currently on Disney+.
