Review

I have returned to “One World Under Doom” with the hope of finding some entertaining value beyond the obvious left-wing political agenda pushed by Marvel in recent years. It was my understanding that this series would conclude after five issues – as most recent productions have under C.B. Cebulsk. Apparently, Emperor Doom has more to say.

I can’t complain about the writing or artwork in this comic, as Ryan North and R.B. Silva are masters at their trade. The thing that exhausts me is this continuing churn of big events and crossover books Marvel seems hellbent on dishing out. I can see doing one or two events per year, but monthly, nonstop? I will quote comedian Jerry Seinfeld here. “Who are the ad-wizards who came up with this?” I don’t know, but I give issue six a weak three out of five stars.
