The “Original Sin” story spanned two series and a one-shot.  It involves Daken wanting a cure for his amnesia.  Wolverine tries to recruit Professor X and Emma Frost to help, while Sebastian Shaw tries to convince Daken that the Hellfire Club can help him.  But of course what Shaw really wants is to control Daken for his own purposes.

I know a lot of people like Daken, and if you’re one of them, this is definitely for you.  I find it all to be warmed-over Wolverine leftovers, taking those aspects of Wolverine’s history that are least interesting and jamming them into a younger version of himself who has cooler tattoos.  Once nice thing, though, is seeing Mike Deodato recreate Wolverine’s battle against Hulk.

Yeah, that’s cool.

But the interminable X vs Miss Sinister battles and the time spent in various characters’ mindscapes is boring.

Although Wolverine and Daken fight yet again during these issues, it ends with Daken getting his memory back and the two of them deciding to team-up and go kill Romulus.
