Warner Bros. Home Entertainment and DC Comics have announced the upcoming release of the "Adventures of Superman: The Complete Series" on DVD.
It's a bird! It's a plane! It's Superman! The legendary Man of Steel, last survivor of the doomed planet Krypton lives on Earth, assuming the secret identity of Clark Kent, mild-mannered reporter for the Metropolis Daily Planet. But with powers and abilities far beyond those of mortal men, he battles for truth and justice as Superman. George Reeves stars as the original television Superman.
Airing from 1952 - 1958, the series was produced by Whitney Ellsworth, Bernard Luber, & Robert Maxwell and starred George Reeves as Clark Kent/Superman, Phyllis Coates as Lois Lane (Season 1), Noel Neill as Lois Lane (Season 2 - 6), Jack Larson as Jimmy Olsen, John Hamilton as Perry White, & Robert Shayne as Inspector Henderson.
