Rick And Morty is Ending, And We Have the First Look

Oni Press has snared a number of headlines recently with the news that it will be ending its long-running comic book adaptation of the hit Rick and Morty TV series, and now, with the final order cutoff date for the first issue of Rick and Morty: The End fast approaching, Oni Press has released a first look at the first issue of the final series.

The series will be by writer Daniel Kibblesmith and artist Jarrett Williams, and it is a continuation of the recently concluded Rick and Morty Versus the Universe crossover event that Kibblesmith wrote for Oni Press (along with one-shot specials co-written by other writers along with Kibblesmith spotlighting the various other characters in the Rick and Morty universe dealing with the effect of Rick and Morty's very universe trying to kill Rick).

What is in the Rick and Morty first look?

In the first look pages, we see Morty on the hunt for Rick, going to the very edges of the universe, to the planets that only BARELY exist, as they are based on throwaway jokes that don't go much further than "we're all ball fondlers."

Morty arrives at one of these planets looking for information about Rick's location, but after he threatens the inhabitants of the planet, he is suddenly and viciously attacked by some weird other character, who appears to CHOP MORTY'S ARM OFF! Things are looking pretty bleak for Morty by the end of this four-page preview, but if you're familiar at all with Rick and Morty adventures, thing can quickly change on a dime. If you want to see what happens next, you'll have to pick up a copy of Rick and Morty: The End #1, on sale on December 3rd.
