Popular comic book creator Rob Liefeld (Deadpool, X-Force) was one of the founders of the creator owned Image Comics, after leaving Marvel Comics in the early 1990s. He has worked in the comic book industry, as everything from a writer, illustrator, publisher, inker and penciller and continues to push boundaries with his unique style. Despite being a divisive and polarizing personality, Liefeld remains one of the most popular and prolific comic book creators with many accolades and awards under his belt.

[UPDATE June 17]
Back in 1995, Rob Liefeld created the character Avengelyne, along with Cathy Christian (the former Vampirella model, on whom the character’s likeness was based), and Tony Lobito. Now, she’s making her return, and San Diego Comic-Con attendees will be among the first to witness it.
The new series, written by creator Rob Liefeld and illustrated by Daniel Maine, follows Avengelyne as she falls to Earth in search of her true destiny, drawing the attention of powerful demon lords determined to stop her before she can fulfill it.
Fans can choose between a regular Comic-Con exclusive edition for $39.99 (featuring a cover illustrated by Liefeld), or a foil version for $69.99. Both options are available for pre-order for pick-up on Friday of San Diego Comic-Con.
