Can't get enough of Robert Kirkman's iconic Invincible franchise? Well, that makes two of us, and Marvel as well. It's a project that's climbed from humble beginnings as an idea, in Kirkman's mind, of an unapologetically brutal superhero series to one of the best in the history of the genre, both in the world of comic books and on TV, thanks to the blinding success of the Prime Video series that, by the way, will release a highly-anticipated fourth season in 2026.
Slated for March 2026, Season 4 of Invincible will feature a new big bad that has the ability to break Invincible, Atom Eve and Omni-Man in ways they could've never thought possible, but that's not all. The young, brash (but also wonderfully quirky) superhero will also see the return of both Todd McFarlane and Mark Bagley for a revisiting of the famed crossover with Spider-Man in Marvel Team-Up #14.
Courtesy of MarvelThe "Month of Invincible", as labeled by Skybound and Image Comics, will feature:
- Invincible #1 Foil Edition (where it all began)
- Marvel Team-Up #14 (the iconic team-up with Spider-Man)
- Invincible Universe: Battle Beast #7 (the blood-soaked return of the hit series)
- Invincible Returns #1 Facsimile Edition (first appearance of Thragg)
- Invincible Omnibus Vol. 1
It's obviously all so exciting for Kirkman — seeing his creation having mushroomed into what it's become today, to the point where the world is craving more, more, more. The famed creator of Invincible recently commented on the franchise's success and, hold onto your butts, the fact there are zero plans for it to slow down.
“I can’t believe Invincible has grown to the point where it gets its own month! Cory, Ryan and I could never have imagined how much this series would grow over the years. It’s so amazing to have the opportunity to celebrate our series in comic shops alongside the debut of the hit television show! Keep your eye out for bigger and better things to come!”
Invincible's Future Is Limitless
As mentioned, in March, the world will be blessed with Season 4 of Invincible, and if the trailer is any indication, it'll somehow find a way to one-up itself yet again. For those that may have forgotten, however, there's also the groundbreaking first entry of the franchise into the video gaming space — Invincible VS. — a triple-tag format fighting game set for 2026 release that promises "more blood per minute" than even the waves of it fans have come to enjoy in the Prime Video series.
Hellbent on pouring back into his fans though, Kirkman will spill things over a bit into April 1, when he'll release the Invincible Omnibus Vol. 1 Hard Cover (and no, it's not an April Fool's Day joke) for a retail price of $125. That edition issues #0-47 of Invincible as well as, for the first time, the aforementioned crossover with Spider-Man, Marvel Team-Up #14. It's an outpouring of content, from comic books (and a hard cover) to the TV series to a highly-anticipated fighting game, that will have Invincible fans grinning ear-to-ear.
All three seasons of Invincible are currently streaming on Prime Video.
