In a recent visit to the Nightcap podcast, Black Panther director Ryan Coogler addressed when we may be getting the third film in the MCU franchise and those rumors about Denzel Washington heading to Wakanda.
When asked about how long until the next installment, Coogler told hosts Shannon Sharpe and Chad Johnson, “Not long.” As for Washington, the actor let slip during the press tour for Gladiator 2 that Coogler was writing a part for him in Black Panther 3, but then back tracked a bit, but when asked about it on the podcast, Coogler described Washington as a living legend and a great mentor that is all about looking out for us.
About the project, Coogler said: “I’m dying to work with Denzel and I’m hoping we can make that happen. I got every intention of working with him in that movie and as long as he’s interested — it’s going to happen.”
