Sabrina the Teenage Witch is set to make a major comeback in 2026, and she's not the only one.

Per The Hollywood Reporter, a brand-new Sabrina the Teenage Witch comic book series is officially on its way from Oni Press. Written by Corinna Bechko and illustrated by Kano, Sabrina the Teenage Witch will be just one of three new Archie titles released in 2026 by the publisher, as well as one of at least four overall, including Dynamite Entertainment's own upcoming offering.

The other two books from Oni Press will be Archie, written by Ice Cream Man co-creator W. Maxwell Prince and illustrated by Pink Lemonade creator Nick Cagnetti, and Archie in Hell by Beneath the Trees Where Nobody Sees writer Patrick Horvath and artist Tyler Crook, the latter of whom is best known for B.P.R.D.: Hell on Earth and Harrow County. Archie will be the first series to arrive, with the series' first issue set to arrive in September, followed by Sabrina the Teenage Witch in October and Archie in Hell in November.

Apart from the titular stars of these new series and their respective core casts of characters, fans can look forward to a whole host of Archie icons being reimagined for a new era. Among the most notable of these will be Josie and the Pussycats, who are sure to bring their unique brand of charm to whatever title they appear in.

Oni-Lion Forge Publishing Group chairman David Stewart II said of the announcement, "This new partnership is one of the most significant moments in Oni Press' three decades as a leading publisher of independent comics, and, in collaboration with the Archie team, we look forward to writing a memorable new chapter in the history of these legendary characters that will set the stage for decades worth of stories yet to come."

Oni Press president Hunter Gorinson, who was largely responsible for bringing Archie to the publisher, opened up about the publisher's vision for its line of Archie titles, explaining, "In 2026, I think it can be said it's adults' idealistic version of what their childhood should have been... You only get so many chances to start these characters fresh, and we wanted to do something meaningful."

"Archie Comics are always stories with elements of hope to them," added Archie Comics' senior director of editorial, Jamie Rotante. "Even when you veer into the dark, or the tone gets serious, one thing that people look to for Archie is comfort and familiarity."

The news of Oni Press' upcoming line of Archie titles is just the latest in a series of major updates the franchise has received throughout 2025. Back in August, it was reported that a live-action Archie Comics feature film is being developed, with legendary producers Phil Lord and Chris Miller overseeing the project and Tom King set to write the screenplay.

In October, it was confirmed that Disney+ is currently developing a streaming adaptation of the fan-favorite Afterlife With Archie comic book series, with original writer Roberto Aguirre-Sacasa returning for the project. Aguirre-Sacasa will also executive produce Afterlife with Archie via his Muckle Man Productions banner alongside Jimmy Gibbons, with Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, and Leigh London Redman executive producing for Berlanti Productions and Jon Goldwater executive producing for Archie Comics Studios.

Just one month later, fans got their first look at yet another horror project, this time in the form of Dynamite Entertainment's upcoming Archie x The Army of Darkness comic book series. Written by Erik Burnham and illustrated by Bill Galvan, Archie x The Army of Darkness will drop Ashley J. Williams into the middle of Riverdale just as Archie Andrews unwittingly unleashes the power of the Necronomicon Ex Mortis.
