Another anime and manga-inspired crossover with Marvel is on the way.
According to Screen Rant, the Avengers will cross over with Silent Möbius in a new upcoming collaboration that was revealed at Tokyo Comic Con. "The crossover, titled Silent Möbius x Avengers, is slated to debut in spring 2026, according to @kia_asamiya on X," Screen Rant reports, "Combining Marvel’s blockbuster heroes with one of Japan’s most influential sci-fi casts, the project marks a rare fusion of Western superhero storytelling and classic anime worldbuilding. For longtime manga and Marvel fans alike, it’s shaping up to be a major moment."
The entertainment publication has confirmed that Marvel Editor-in-Chief C.B. Cebulski has assured eager fans that Asamiya will write and illustrate the crossover event. Screen Rant notes that Asamiya's writing and illustrations will "feel more like an authentic expansion of Silent Möbius than a simple guest appearance. His art will guide the tone, blending the darker, futuristic edge of the manga with the bright energy of Marvel’s heroes."
It's been claimed that the Silent Möbius and Avengers crossover will serve as a United States-exclusive release. While it might be expected that Silent Möbius x Avengers may want to target a global audience, limiting the release to just the United States does reassure that there's enough confidence in the Westernized intersection between superhero media interest and manga readership that supports a successful launch. With comic books and manga sharing similar structure and appeal, it's expected that there's a target audience out there eager for Silent Möbius x Avengers to drop.
Marvel's History With Anime and Manga
Image via MadhouseSilent Möbius x Avengers isn't the first time that Marvel will take on an anime or manga-inspired project. In fact, it's been reported that this will mark Asamiya’s return to Marvel following his previous artistic contributions to the comic book publishing giant. Silent Möbius x Avengers will be Marvel's first anime event of 2026, though there's been plenty of previous Marvel anime for fans to explore. Marvel has partnered with esteemed studios such as Toei Animation and Madhouse to bring their comics to life through alternative means.
Marvel's manga has also pulled iconic heroes and villains from the comics universe into other forms of print. Marvel X Shōnen Jump+ Super Collaboration shared a collection of Marvel one-shot manga concepts under one title, allowing a collection of stories to be strung together with some degree of continuity. Late Yu-Gi-Oh! creator Kazuki Takahashi participated in the collaboration, intertwining Yu-Gi-Oh! with Marvel Comics into one iconic story.
Before the X-Men make an even deeper impact on the Marvel Cinematic Universe, and X-Men '97 returns to the animated X-Men universe, there's still time to catch up with Madhouse's Marvel Anime: X-Men. While it feels like more of a 2000s action anime, Marvel Anime: X-Men does its best to retain the spirit of the titular team for an even broader audience. There's also plenty of time for Marvel fans to check out Marvel Anime: Blade as Blade's Marvel Cinematic Universe counterpart sits on the backburner for far too long.
Silent Möbius x Avengers releases sometime in 2026.
