Via The Hollywood Reporter, fledgling horror publisher Panick Entertainment has announced The Accessories, a five-part series written by David Dastmalchian and Leah Kilpatrick, with art by Patrick Piazzalunga. The book follows Igor, Renfield, and Mrs. Hyde, as they forge a new path away from their masters Frankenstein, Dracula, and Dr. Jekyll.
Igor, Renfield and Mrs. Hyde have aided their masters’ diabolical missions for decades but today is the day they stop being loyal. Today the real horror walks out the front door. The looming question is… what do they do now? These three discarded servants find each other in the fallout, forming a band of gawky but determined anti-heroes caught between angry villagers, vengeful monster-hunters and furious former employers. Their survival will take more than just guts, luckily, they know where to procure more.
Issue #1 will be released on June 2, 2026. The book marks the first series from co-writer Kilpatrick, a comedian, producer, and longtime friend of Dastmalchian, who previously collaborated with her on her first three comics (Dark Horse’s 2023 and 2024 Headless Horseman Halloween Annuals, and DC Horror Presents). This is their first collaboration with Piazzalunga.
Panick, which was launched at last year’s SDCC, also announced (via Daily Dead) Last Words, a supernatural detective series by Rodney Barnes last week. A four-parter launching sometime in 2026, the book follows Harry Gaines, an investigator approaching retirement, as he pursues a child murderer. “The killer is methodical. No patterns beyond the victims: white girls, aged 11 to 14, all 5’2”, 100 pounds. Eleven bodies. No leads. Until number twelve — Cyndy Carpenter — speaks to Harry. From the morgue table.”
No artist was attached at the time of writing, so no artwork was provided in the announcement. In the meantime, Panick’s first series, T.A.M.A., a satirical tale of virtual pets by Adam Schlagman (the head of the studio), Doug Pasko, and Daniel HDR, will launch on August 6.
