Secret Invasion: Front Line #1-5 (2008-2009)

The Front Line concept of using reporters in the Marvel Universe to cover events was one I enjoyed in Civil War.  Here, it’s not as good.  It’s till good, just not AS good.  Not sure if that’s because the creative team isn’t as good or if it’s because the overall Secret Invasion event isn’t as good. Probably both.  Brian Reed is a very capable writer, though, so I put most of the blame on the overall event.

Ben Urich is once again the narrative focal point, and his stories are about civilians affected by the big invasion.  Towards the end, we also get to see his insights about Norman Osborn’s rise to power.

Not much to say here, as this is a book that’s a solid read but doesn’t add anything significant to the overall Secret Invasion event.
