Sony Pictures' Madame Web has finally set another streaming release date, and it is coming to a major platform sooner than fans might expect.

Per fan account Cosmic Marvel on Twitter, 2024's Madame Web is officially slated to swing onto Disney+ next month. Fans currently have just under a month to wait before Madame Web joins the Disney+ streaming library on Nov. 14.

Directed by S. J. Clarkson from a screenplay co-written along with Matt Sazama, Burk Sharpless, and Claire Parker, Madame Web introduced Dakota Johnson as Cassandra "Cassie" Webb, a Manhattan paramedic whose latent psychic abilities are unleashed following a near-death experience. Over the course of the film Cassie crosses paths with numerous other heroes and villains with their own unique spider-abilities, including Sydney Sweeney's Julia Cornwall, Isabela Merced's Anya Corazón, Celeste O'Connor's Mattie Franklin, and the villainous Ezekiel Sims, portrayed by Tahar Rahim.

Madame Web arrived in theaters on Feb. 14, 2024 to decidedly negative reviews from critics and an underwhelming box office turnout. Madame Web was widely lambasted by critics and viewers alike, earning the film an abysmally low 10% "Fresh" rating via review aggregator Rotten Tomatoes, as averaged across 269 verified critical reviews. Audiences were more kind to the film, with Madame Web holding a 53% audience generated "Popcornmeter" score via Rotten Tomatoes, although these generally more favorable reviews didn't help in terms of financial success. Over the course of its run in theaters, Madame Web only managed to gross $100.5 million, just barely clearing its $100 million budget.

How Madame Web Star Dakota Johnson Responded to the Film's Failure

Johnson herself opened up where things went wrong with Madame Web, noting, "It wasn't my fault." Johnson explained, "There’s this thing that happens now where a lot of creative decisions are made by committee. Or made by people who don't have a creative bone in their body. And it's really hard to make art that way. Or to make something entertaining that way." Johnson added, "And I think, unfortunately, with Madame Web, it started out as something and turned into something else. And I was just sort of along for the ride at that point. But that happens. Bigger-budget movies fail all the time."

Madame Web is currently slated to arrive on Disney+ on Nov. 14.
