Superman Soars into the UK with Sky-High Spectacle at The Shard

Warner Bros. is bringing the excitement of DC Studios' "Superman" to the heart of London with a dramatic stop on the film's global World Tour, taking place tomorrow, Wednesday, July 2nd in Leicester Square. Director James Gunn, producer Peter Safran, and stars David Corenswet, Rachel Brosnahan, and Nicholas Hoult are set to appear, meeting fans and celebrating the highly anticipated return of the Man of Steel to the big screen.

To mark the occasion, Superman has already made a jaw-dropping early arrival. At first light this morning, the legendary hero was spotted soaring above London in a breathtaking installation at The Shard, the tallest building in the United Kingdom. Suspended within the exposed spire nearly 1,000 feet in the air, an 11-foot sculpture of Superman - modeled on actor David Corenswet - was unveiled as Daily Planet helicopters circled overhead, creating a cinematic moment straight out of Metropolis.

The installation will remain in place for one day only, offering a rare and powerful image of the Man of Steel watching over the city skyline as anticipation builds for the film’s UK release on Friday, July 11th.

In the lead-up to the premiere, fans across London are invited to join the celebration through a unique fan activation hosted by the Daily Planet. A special series of pop-up newspaper kiosks will appear at key locations around the city, distributing limited edition Daily Planet newspapers packed with exclusive content—including in-world journalism, special partner discounts, and Superman-themed free gifts (while supplies last).
