"Superman" Stars Get First Look at Hot Toys' New Man of Steel and Krypto Figures
Posted on July 01, 2025 by Neil Cole
In an exclusive first look brought to fans by Brandon Davis and Phase Hero, Hot Toys has officially revealed the prototype Superman and Krypto Sixth Scale Figures based on director James Gunn's highly anticipated "Superman" film. The dramatic unveiling took place immediately following a special interview session with Gunn and stars David Corenswet, Rachel Brosnahan, and Nicholas Hoult.
As the conversation wrapped, Davis surprised the cast and director with the debut of the meticulously crafted sixth scale figures - currently the only prototypes in existence. The group's reactions ranged from awe to laughter, as they admired the high fidelity and craftsmanship of the collectibles.
"It's really cool to see the suit in that miniature figure with so much detail because it's such an amazing suit at scale," stated Corenswet on the reveal. "To see it scaled down like that but with still so much detail and accuracy... it's really cool."
The Superman figure is equipped with a Fortress of Solitude-inspired base featuring iconic Kryptonian crystal formations, a wired fabric cape for dynamic posing, and an ultra-realistic headsculpt capturing Corenswet's likeness in character. Alongside him, the Krypto figure stands faithfully, modeled after Gunn's real-life dog, who also inspired the character's appearance in the film.
Rachel Brosnahan (Lois Lane) and Nicholas Hoult (Lex Luthor) also shared their excitement and admiration for the figures' attention to detail and screen-accurate design - a nod to Hot Toys' reputation for excellence in collectible artistry.
