Superman and Homelander are finally going toe-to-toe in an action-packed DC K.O. variant.

As seen in a recent Twitter post from fan and industry page DiscussingFilm, Superman and Homelander will be duking it out across The Boys co-creator Darick Robertson's upcoming variant cover for DC K.O.: Boss Battle #1. Readers can check out the variant cover art for themselves down below.

The official solicit synopsis for DC K.O.: Boss Battle #1 from DC Comics reads, "TO SAVE OUR WORLD, THEY MUST BATTLE THE CHAMPIONS OF OTHER WORLDS! Unexpected fighters from beyond the DC Universe enter the arena! Wait... What? WHO?! As the remaining champions in the K.O. tournament prepare for the final rounds, they discover that there isn't enough Omega energy left to crown the winner a King Omega."

"To have any hope of stopping Darkseid, they'll need to engage in combat with the champions of other worlds beyond our own including Annabelle, Homelander, Sub-Zero, and more! This shocking, star-studded crossover sets the stage for the final chapters of the epic DC K.O. event and features matchups you never imagined possible. The ultimate battle is only beginning!"

DC Comics' DC K.O. event marks the final chapter of the first act of the publisher's ongoing DC All In initiative, which began in the pages of 2024's DC All In Special. Since then, readers have seen the rise of the Absolute Universe, the near fall of Justice League Unlimited, and the transformation of Darkseid into an entirely different breed of threat after ascending to the role of King Omega.

DC K.O. brought together 32 of the most powerful characters in the DC Universe to compete against one another until only one rises to the top and proves themselves worthy of standing against Darkseid in a battle for the fate of the Multiverse. Although fans have yet to learn who the ultimate victor will be, DC Comics has already given them a glimpse of things yet to come with a sneak peek at the titles set to open the next act of the DC All In initiative — DC: Next Level.

Helmed by critically acclaimed writers Scott Snyder and Joshua Williamson, DC: Next Level will pick up in the wake of DC K.O. and chart a new course for the wider DC Universe going into 2026. Snyder himself said of the announcement, "Josh and I are excited to enter the second phase of DC All In with Next Level."

"From the launch of the DC All In Special, to the introduction of an Absolute universe, and into the DC K.O. event that we’re right in the middle of now, we're determined to build on all of the fan enthusiasm, and the retail support and story momentum, by continuing to take big swings in 2026."

"I’m incredibly excited to be involved in this new initiative designed to super-charge DC’s main line," Williamson added. "Much like how the Absolute Universe provided a new burst of creative energy with a series of unexpected new series, DC: Next Level aims to deliver similar excitement."

The final order cut-off for DC K.O.: Boss Battle #1 is Jan. 12, 2026.

The Justice League, including Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash, Green Lantern, Aquaman and Martian Manhunter, pose together on the Justice League of America Vol. 1 comic cover.
