The official solicit synopsis for DC K.O.: Boss Battle #1 from DC Comics reads, "TO SAVE OUR WORLD, THEY MUST BATTLE THE CHAMPIONS OF OTHER WORLDS! DC Comics' DC K.O. event marks the final chapter of the first act of the publisher's ongoing DC All In initiative, which began in the pages of 2024's DC All In Special. Since then, readers have seen the rise of the Absolute Universe, the near fall of Justice League Unlimited, and the transformation of Darkseid into an entirely different breed of threat after ascending to the role of King Omega.
DC K.O. brought together 32 of the most powerful characters in the DC Universe to compete against one another until only one rises to the top and proves themselves worthy of standing against Darkseid in a battle for the fate of the Multiverse. Although fans have yet to learn who the ultimate victor will be, DC Comics has already given them a glimpse of things yet to come with a sneak peek at the titles set to open the next act of the DC All In initiative — DC: Next Level.
Helmed by critically acclaimed writers Scott Snyder and Joshua Williamson, DC: Next Level will pick up in the wake of DC K.O. and chart a new course for the wider DC Universe going into 2026.
