Tarzan v1 #111, 1959 - Waiting for Dan-El's return, his army and officers wait patiently for word. Enemy tribesman suddenly appear downstream, giving Captain Inongi the idea to capture them and extract information. Russ Manning's layouts vary to avoid repetition and maintain interest. His drawing ability improves with each issue. In contrast, his single page text illustration falters. The lead Tarzan feature is drawn by Jesse Marsh. Cover painting by George Wilson.
