TCL Chinese Theatre Hosting "Superman The Movie" Benefit Screening for California Wildfire Victims

Posted on January 18, 2025 by Neil Cole

The historic TCL Chinese Theatre will host two special benefit film screenings on Saturday, January 25th, to support the victims of the recent wildfires in Los Angeles. The event will feature two cinematic masterpieces: Richard Donner's "Superman The Movie" (1978) at 3:30 PM (presented in 4K) and Stanley Kubrick's "2001: A Space Odyssey" (1968) at 7:00 PM (presented in IMAX).

For one evening only, 100% of all ticket sales and concession proceeds will be donated to wildfire relief efforts, with funds supporting the American Red Cross, Los Angeles Fire Foundation, Los Angeles Firemen's Relief Association, and the Will Rogers Motion Picture Pioneers Foundation. The funds raised will provide critical support to first responders and those displaced by the fires, as well as contribute to the ongoing recovery efforts.

Tickets are available for $25 and can be pre-booked through the TCL Chinese Theatre website. Moviegoers are encouraged to act quickly, as tickets are expected to sell out in support of this vital cause. For additional information and to purchase tickets, visit the official TCL Chinese Theatre website.
