The following contains spoilers for Amazing Spider-Man #24, on sale next week from Marvel Comics.
The "Death Spiral" crossover event has been absolutely living up to the hype of its title, as the crossover event between Spider-Man and Venom (and Carnage, who doesn't technically have his own comic book anymore, but since Amazing Spider-Man comes out twice a month, then one of the Amazing Spider-Man issues in the crossover is BASICALLY an issue of Eddie Brock: Carnage, as they are written and drawn by the Eddie Brock: Carnage creative team of Charles Soule, Jesus Saiz, and Matt Hollingsworth) has already featured a death of a major Spider-Man character (the Shocker), and this week, Eddie Brock discovered that his father was murdered by the villainous Torment.
In a CBR exclusive preview of next week's Amazing Spider-Man #24, part four of the Death Spiral crossover, see how Eddie Brock reacts to his father's murder, as he realizess that the Carnage symbiote and Torment are working together.

In the preview pages, we open with Eddie Brock reflecting on how his father was abusive to him when he was a young man. He recalls that his father brought up their blood connection, that being "blood" with someone means that you will always be connected to them, and that you will always think about them, dead or alive.
However, he said that right after he punched Eddie in the face, and threw him out of his house, so it is a bit unclear what, exactly, Carl Brock's messaging was intended to convey.
That "blood" connection is why the Torment killer has been slowly killing Brocks, Parkers, and Watsons across the country while he slowly spirals down to his main victims, Eddie Brock (host of Carnage), Peter Parker (Spider-Man), and Mary Jane Watson (host of Venom). Torment is working with Carnage, who now knows Spider-Man and Venom's secret identities (due to its connection with Eddie Brock), hence the Parkers and the Watsons being in danger.
However, while Carnage is working against him, Eddie still has control over Carnage, so he is going to try to force it to kill Torment (Eddie's arrangement with Carnage is that Eddie will help it kill, but only other serial killers), but we shall see what else Carnage has left up its symbiotic sleeve. It's already crossed a major line by having Eddie's father murdered, so what else will it do next?
