Review

I have returned to The Cursed Library miniseries first released by Archie Comics in August 2024. As Halloween is only days away, I figured it was the right time to see if Riverdale survives the apocalypse (aka the Holiday family squabble). In this issue we learn the history behind the unholy union of Satan and Merry Holiday. Hap Holiday sure has some big shoes to fill.

With Li’l Jinx and her friend Danni Malloy hard at work manipulating hell from the shadows, will Madam Satan live to betray Lucifer another day? I don’t know, but I sure did enjoy issue two. The Jinx and Danni characters seem to have gained in wisdom; Danni more than Jinx. The real attraction here is the artwork by Craig Cermak. It is my favorite of all the modern Archie Horror books I’ve read so far. I give issue two a solid four out of five stars.
