Usually these one-offs are just filler designed to pry a few more bucks from your wallet during a week where your favorite title isn’t regularly on sale. This one is well done, though, and ties into the happenings of the main series. In that main book, there’s so much going on every month that it feels right to get a standalone focus on the dynamic between team leader Moonstone and Songbird, who is much better liked by the team.
Moonstone was picked, apparently, because Norman Osborn appreciated her assets.
Problem is, it doesn’t really go anywhere. There’s a generic battle followed by Songbird’s mom showing up. She’s a recovering alcoholic who (expectedly) drinks during the issue. Moonstone feels bad for her but in the end nothing really changes.
