Explosive action. Those two words don't ever truly do their job in trying to prepare someone who is unfamiliar with the unrivaled brutality presented, regularly and unapologetically, by the Invincible franchise. But legendary in its own right, and much more so, is Spider-Man, a Marvel superhero that's graced households for more than 60 years, a much more wholesome superhero who tries to avoid human casualties at all costs.
What would happen if those two polarities collided, though? Ah, that's where the fun can truly begin, folks. So much fun, in fact, that even Todd McFarlane has made his way back to help with its delivery, via new variant covers for a March 2026 reprint of Marvel Team-Up #14 — and for the first time since its original release.

Hmm, March 2026, huh? That feels eerily coincidental. That is, of course, the same month in which Season 4 of Invincible will be released on Prime Video, after all. OK, it's not a coincidence at all, and even Skybound itself admits it.
"Reprinted just in time for Skybound's celebration of Invincible Month in March 2026, Marvel Team-Up #14 joins an exciting slate of comic books – including the return of Invincible Universe: Battle Beast, reprints of the most demanded issues, and all-new collections – timed to the debut of season 4 of the hit animated series on Prime Video."
'The Month of Invincible'
image by Ryan RiceRobert Kirkman's classic isn't only set to make superhero headlines via Prime Video in 2026. There's also the fact that, for the first time in the franchise's history, there will be a standalone fighting game dedicated to its storyline and aforementioned brutality. Kirkman and Co. are preparing for the launch of Invincible VS. — promising "more blood per minute" in the video game than was ever possible in the show and, man, that is saying a lot.
"Fans can look forward to releases perfect for those looking to discover every corner of the Invincible Universe, which continues to shatter records worldwide in print and onscreen. Invincible has never been hotter, and it's only heating up in 2026 with the release of Skybound and Quarter Up's brutal, tournament-quality 3v3 tag fighting game Invincible VS."
The reported launch for Invincible VS. will be in April 2026, one month following the release of Season 4, wherein the big bad has already been revealed as someone even Omni-Man will have an impossible time taking down, assuming he, or they, can at all. But, until that arc is fleshed out, a revisit of Marvel Team-Up #14 definitely feels in order here.
