CBR can exclusively share an exciting brand-new preview for Image Comics' eagerly-anticipated title You'll Do Bad Things. The first installment of the six-issue horror miniseries will hit comic book shelves on March 26.

The acclaimed writer and artist Tyler Boss (What's The Furthest Place From Here?) pens You'll Do Bad Things, with rising star artist Adriano Turtulici on art duty and the iconic Hassan Otsmane-Elhaou on lettering. The preview teases the neon gore and B-horror camp the publisher promises fans of Stephen King's Misery and Dario Argento films will have an absolute blast with. The series follows a once-famous true crime writer whose horrifying fictional stories are brought to life by a mysterious serial killer in a string of murders. The first issue of the You'll Do Bad Things series will arrive with variant covers by Turtulici, Jenna Cha, and Marcos Martin, in addition to Boss' main cover.

In Image Comics' You'll Do Bad Things, "it's been ten years since the release of He Came in with a Smile, the true crime smash hit that chronicled the brutal murders committed by the Nursery Rhyme Killer. But in the decade since its release, its author, Seth Holms, hasn't produced another title. He wants to write a story with a happy ending, but every time his fingers clack across the keyboard it always ends in his character's death. Worse yet? These tales of blood and barbarity that flow so freely from Seth's mind are starting to happen in real life."

You'll Do Bad Things Scribe Discusses His Writing Process and Series Collaborator

You'll Do Bad Things will mark Boss and Turtulici's first collaboration. Boss went into extensive detail regarding his writing process and working with the artist. "In my life, I've always been a serial monogamist. So, working with a new collaborator like artist Adriano Turtulici on You'll Do Bad Things was both exciting and scary in the same breath," he said. "Like a middle school crush, I found myself asking questions like: 'Do they like me? Will they think this scene is any good? Will they like how these characters play?' But despite my initial nervousness, I love working with Adriano and his sensibilities."

Image Comics rushes its new title, Bug Wars, back to print after the debut issue sells out at the distributor level.

The You'll Do Bad Things writer continued, "In the first issue alone, I had multiple scenes where I wrote parts to be very specifically one way, only for Adriano to see it a completely different way. The best part is he's yet to be wrong. I have a tendency to try and make things really quiet, and Adriano has the tendency to see those same things as big and operatic. The meeting of those instincts and their outcome really is the crux of this book."

Boss added, "In this way, You'll Do Bad Things is equally cinematic in its blood-soaked kills and equally subtle in the way that it builds dread steadily more and more until the terrifying final page. It's been an awesome collaboration, and I hope readers feel one-tenth of the giddiness we've felt while making the book."
