“Vampires Everywhere!”
The hounds of hell starved for flesh as their master did for living blood. Under the cover of night, they invaded Santa Carla, hunting for those unaware of the dire circumstances in which enveloped them. Then they struck!
Razor-sharp teeth tore through skin and bones, leaving nothing behind but the memories of a once vibrant woman returning home from a day at the beach. The vampire and his guardians would live another day, to be a curse upon mankind. For the savage ritual would begin again tomorrow, as it did every night for two-hundred years.
As a local resident once said, “One thing about living in Santa Carla I never could stomach; all the damn vampires.”
Review
That could have been the story inside Blackthorne Publications’ “Vampires Everywhere!”. Unfortunately, this comic book is a reproduction copy of the reproduction copy based on the movie prop featured in The Lost Boys (1987). The version I have in my hands is a faithful, but limited, publication by Rabid Weasel Studios based in the UK.
The original reproduction copies of Vampires Everywhere! were produced by the comic book store Atlantis Fantasy World, the shop used as a filming location in the feature film. I was unable to secure a copy as they were temporarily out of the direct source for the reproduction. In any case, the Rabid Weasel Studios version is a very nice production in its own right.
For a comic book story, there is little to read. The book was meant as a visual prop for the film and nothing more. The art, inking, and colors are very well done. I give this version five stars for a Facsimile. The book as a full fledged comic, overall, gets a three out of five stars.
