Watch: Daily Wire’s First Trailer for ‘The Pendragon Cycle: Rise of the Merlin’

The long simmering epic fantasy produced by the Daily Wire has finally arrived with its first trailer. Directed by Daily Wire co-founder Jeremy Boreing, The Pendragon Cycle is a re-telling of the Arthurian Legend set in occupied Britain written by Stephen Lawhead.

Announced in 2023, The Pendragon Cycle: Rise of the Merlin has been a pet project for the crew at Daily Wire for some time, with this trailer being the culmination of a ten-year plan.  There have been rumors that the budget for this venture has led to internal tensions behind the scenes at the Daily Wire as costs skyrocketed, and if this is true, then it’s evident in the production quality.

If the comments aren’t bots, then many of the YouTube comments are positive. They, like me, noticed the production quality of this first trailer, where you can see that the money was well spent.  Check out it below.

In their article release  announcing The Pendragon Cycle: Rise of the Merlin trailer on the Daily Wire, they say:

“The Pendragon Cycle” unfolds in the aftermath of Roman-occupied Britain, where the seeds of Christianity are beginning to take root in the wake of overwhelming spiritual and physical darkness. Barbarian invaders threaten to lay claim to the Island of the Mighty, and only those with faith in the true God will prevail.”

“Against this perilous backdrop, Merlin emerges not as the wizard we remember from typical Arthurian retellings that lean on medieval imagery and rote chivalry, but as a complex prophetic figure caught in a world of spiritual warfare, political chaos, and the dawn of Western civilization.”

The Pendragon Cycle: Rise of the Merlin is set to release in January 2026 on their Daily Wire+ subscription, which is 7 dollars a month.

And on a side note, it was great to see Brett Cooper in the trailer. There are still unknown reasons why Brett and the Daily Wire split, and things became tense, but it seems time has healed enough wounds for them to give her time in the trailer.

Maybe we will eventually get that Snow White movie that I stanned for?
