Pop culture is a never-ending world of updates, teases, trailers, and hopefully releases. What’s New Wednesday is Dorkaholics’ way to keep us all up to date with what’s new across comics, TV, film, games, and more! This week, the focus is on Karma, Black Mirror, Lilo & Stitch, and Materialists.

I haven’t heard of a webtoon adaptation that hasn’t captivated audiences, so I expect the same from Karma. It’s apparent from the trailer that there will be twists and turns to this story that links six seemingly unrelated characters to a horrible event.
Release Date: On Netflix on April 4, 2025
Synopsis: A hit-and-run. A cover-up. A debt-fueled murder plot. Karma weaves together the fates of six characters, each bound by a single, irreversible moment. The series stars Squid Game’s Park Hae-soo as the Witness, Shin Min-a as Ju-yeon, Lee Hee-jun as the Debtor, Kim Sung-kyun as Gil-ryong, Lee Kwang-soo as Glasses, and Gong Seung-yeon as Yu-jeong — each caught in a web of choices that refuses to be buried.
- Black Mirror Season 7 – Official Trailer
Black Mirror is coming back. Seven seasons in and it still hasn’t lost its magic with both brand new stories as well as continuations of past ones that delights audiences with shock and awe. Props to the trailer team for being able to weave these different stories into one cohesive promo reel.

Synopsis: Charlie Brooker’s dark, satirical anthology series will return on 10 April, 2025 with six brand new episodes, including a sequel to the sci-fi adventure USS Callister.
- Lilo & Stitch – Official Trailer
It feels like I’m back in my childhood when Lilo & Stitch first came out in theaters and everyone and their mom was doing their own rendition of the Stitch-voice. From the trailer, one has to celebrate the well-designed Stitch and the scenes that capture the same magic of the animated film now in live action. I’m sure I’m not alone in sharing excitement and enthusiasm for the film.

Synopsis: “Lilo & Stitch” is the wildly funny and touching story of a lonely Hawaiian girl and the fugitive alien who helps to mend her broken family.

Celine Song (Past Lives) is back with another A24 hit (I can already tell, trust me).
Release Date: In theaters on June 13, 2025
Synopsis: A young, ambitious New York City matchmaker finds herself torn between the perfect match and her imperfect ex.
