Logan's current run will soon culminate in an epic showdown with the dreaded Adamantine in the upcoming Wolverine #8. Designated the 400th legacy issue, Marvel Comics is celebrating the book's arrival with variant covers and a special bonus story written and drawn by Daniel Warren Johnson.
Per Marvel, Wolverine's current creative team, writer Saladin Ahmed and artist Martín Cóccolo, are bent on making the upcoming issue "a legendary chapter in the character's history." Wolverine #8 will contain two thrilling stories by the creators that include several key appearances and revelations that will shape Logan's future adventures. Johnson's bonus story will also have a surprise character return from Wolverine's past that "no reader will see coming." In addition to Cóccolo's main cover and the variant by Johnson, Andy Kubert and Jerome Opena will also provide variant covers.

Wolverine #400's Creators Tease the Milestone Issue
Series writer Ahmed teased what fans could expect from the upcoming 400th Wolverine legacy issue. "A big anniversary issue is always a great excuse to go crazy with reveals and unveilings, and we've taken that to heart here," he said. "In this oversized issue, an old enemy drives Logan's new pupil, the Wendigo, to the brink. Logan finally comes face to face with the cryptic entity known as the Adamantine, and a stunning new family revelation plants the seeds for the next chaotic chapter of Logan's life."

Wolverine #8 (Legacy #400) will arrive in comic book shops on April 16, 2025.
